Product innovations and live lectures from renowned speakers attracted interested visitors to the FORESTADENT exhibition stand at the AAO Congress in Washington.

FORESTADENT presented several highlights at this year’s annual session of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). While the latest innovations of the traditional company from Pforzheim, Germany, were being presented, any interested visitors to the stand were also able to obtain information about the clinical application of the products. Renowned speakers like Dr. Kevin Walde and Dr. Alexander Gebhardt explained application options and design details in scientific mini-lectures and held a question and answer session for visitors to the exhibition. Wine-tasting was another of the highlights at the FORESTADENT exhibition stand.

The third generation of the proven self-ligating Quick bracket system is now available in the form of BioQuick. The most significant feature of BioQuick is a new base, which has been adapted to the anatomical contour of tooth crowns. The modified bracket version also has a circumferential pad margin, which greatly reduces the overflow of adhesive, and an optimised clip with snap function.

Another product innovation, the MiniAnts, was exhibited in Washington. MiniAnts are a type of bracket with a reduced width, which now optimally complement the proven 2D lingual bracket system from FORESTADENT. Up until now twin-wing brackets in the lower anterior region have had to be placed very close together due to their width, but now there is much more space available with the mini anteriors. This greatly facilitates compensation bends that are mainly required during the finishing phase.

However, other products that are not completely brand new, e.g. the aesthetic QuicKlear bracket or the BioFinisher which is a thermoactive square archwire for uprighting retruded teeth at the end of multiband treatment, aroused the interest of the numerous visitors.

Anyone who has developed an interest for further scientific training at the highest level of expertise in addition to the lectures at the FORESTADENT stand should make a note of the 23-25 September. This is because there are two FORESTADENT event highlights on these dates – the 3rd International Symposium and the 1st International 2D Lingual User Meeting. There are still tickets available for the two events. Further information can be obtained from the address below.
