With this NiTi-SE-stainless steel uprighting spring even horizontally tilted molars can be uprighted. In cases where the distalising force is not desired, it is recommended that a stainless steel ligature should be loosely fixed between the molar and the cross tube.
About 15º before optimal uprighting of the molar a new reactivation in the tip-back bend is necessary. This can be done in the superelastic part with the Memory-Maker (see catalogue) at about 15º-20º or in the stainless steel portion very close to the crimped connection.
